The Badlands, South Dakota

With the Badland only 8 miles south of our route, we made a last minute decision to see if we could drive through the park.  Turns out that the Badlands is the perfect park to drive through – everything is right on the road and aside from one trail and fossil beds, there's not much to hike around and see.  We only got out once or twice for pictures.  It was the perfect detour.  I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
